Melbourne metropolitan deliveries

The Furniture Trader delivers all items to Victorian addresses quoted at checkout - if you would like to pick up goods Click & Collect is available at some of our store locations

The Furniture Trader's Online delivery price may be different to our in-store delivery price

Our Melbourne metropolitan deliveries are delivered between the hours of 8am and 6pm

  • You will receive a phone call or sms before hand to confirm the date of delivery
  • Access to the residence must be made safely available for the delivery to go ahead
  • Regardless of circumstances, couriers are under no obligation to take items back, whereby a person is at the residence to sign for them
  • Our couriers are only obligated to delivery to a ground floor of a residence
    • Our drivers are not obligated to take goods upstairs

 

Sydney & Adelaide metropolitan deliveries

The Furniture Trader delivers all items to Sydney & Adelaide metropolitan addresses - if you would like to pick up goods Click & Collect is available at some of our store locations

  • You will receive an email & sms before hand to confirm the date of delivery
  • Our Sydney & Adelaide metropolitan deliveries are 'curb side delivery' - this doesn't include placement inside the residence or goods being taken up stairs
  • Access to the residence must be made safely available with no stairs for the delivery to be unloaded
  • Regardless of circumstances, couriers are under no obligation to take items back, whereby a person is at the residence to sign for them

Click & Collect has been made an available option for delivery addresses that are not provided a quote at checkout.

All online purchases are usually shipped within 5 business days, confirmation of delivery details will be sent to the customer via an SMS message, phone call or email message.

We recommend you read our Returns, Repairs and Refunds Policy prior to placing an order, which requires you to let us know within 7 days of a delivery of any defective goods received.

Our couriers offer a door-to-door service, so please ensure that there will be someone available at the nominated delivery address to sign for your items and receive the delivery. Couriers will not leave goods unattended, unless instructed by the customer to do so.

Our couriers deliver to the front of your home. Should you require your furniture to be placed inside your home at your request, The Furniture Trader and our couriers accept no responsibility for damages incurred to the delivery destination premises or the furniture whereby difficult access may have led to damage being incurred. This includes damage to items being delivered and /or its contents.

If you cannot be available to accept your delivery, you may contact the The Furniture Trader directly to provide them with ‘Authority to Leave’ goods unattended, this may however void your warranty if we deem it likely that damage has occured to goods whist in the hands of the customer, in which case neither The Furniture Trader nor our couriers can be held liable for any loss, theft, or damage to your item.

Shipping costs include full insurance for products that are lost or damaged in transit.

We use carriers that are both convenient and qualified in handling care, whilst offer very competitive shipping rates.

If the product is not currently in stock, the item is unable to be sold until it is back in stock.

In the event of non-defective goods being returned to The Furniture Trader due to difficult access or the address being unattended, The Furniture Trader retains the right to charge a return fee equal to the original delivery fee. This return fee covers costs associated with re-warehousing the product.

Delivery Date

Whilst we cannot schedule date specifc delivery times and days, we make every effort to have the delivery driver contact you before the delivery takes place.

Estimated time of Delivery

Please allow up to 10 business days for all deliveries.

Cancellation

The Furniture Trader reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of $40 for orders cancelled by the customer within 48 hours of those Orders' scheduled delivery date. This fee covers costs associated with extra handling and re-warehousing of the already picked and loaded product/s.

In the event of a cancelled order, funds paid in relation to that order will be refunded as soon as is reasonably practicable. You will be provided with e-mail acknowledgement of the cancellation and refund.
